The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher (with Spanish at KS3) to join a forward-thinking department. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality French and Spanish education at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality French and Spanish lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Prepare and mark coursework, tests, and examination papers in line with school standards.
  • Support the development of Schemes of Work and contribute to departmental planning.
  • Provide regular pupil reports and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and engaging curriculum.
  • Assist in the organisation of educational visits and trips in line with school policies.
  • Attend parents’ evenings and provide informative feedback to parents and students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching French to GCSE level.
  • Ability to teach Spanish at Key Stage 3.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A level French.
  • Familiarity with curriculum planning and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in leading or supporting extracurricular activities.
  • Knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
