As a Social Sciences Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential in subjects such as Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality classroom teaching and support students across all ability levels.
  • Prepare and mark term work, tests, and examination papers in line with school policies.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress using the school’s monitoring and tracking systems.
  • Support the organisation of educational visits and trips, ensuring compliance with school procedures.
  • Engage students in research opportunities and develop links with universities.
  • Attend parents’ evenings and provide informed feedback to parents and students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and enabling learning environment.
  • Write regular pupil reports as per the school reporting schedule.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Social Sciences.
  • Experience in teaching at A-level or equivalent.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Psychology, Sociology, and/or Criminology.
  • Familiarity with educational research and university partnerships.
  • Experience with curriculum development and Schemes of Work.
