The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a successful and supportive department. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives while working in a school where staff well-being is a top priority. The ideal candidate will be able to teach two science disciplines at GCSE and any science subject to A-Level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Teach a range of science subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at both GCSE and A-Level.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a topic-based curriculum that prepares students for success.
- Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated Technicians and colleagues to maintain and enhance the Science department’s strong performance.
- Support the continued improvement of student outcomes, with results consistently above national averages.
- Encourage a culture of inclusivity and respect, ensuring all students can succeed.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing innovation and improvement of Science teaching practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Ability to teach two science disciplines at GCSE and any science subject to A-Level.
- Commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with a focus on student achievement and well-being.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching Science to both GCSE and A-Level students.
- Background in delivering innovative and engaging Science lessons.
- Experience with curriculum development or leadership within a Science department.
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student populations.
