The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher to join a successful department. This role offers the chance to inspire students across Years 7-13 and contribute to a strong science curriculum. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning that challenges students to achieve their personal best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science across Years 7-13, including A-level and GCSE.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote a love of science.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a second Science subject at GCSE level.
- Support the school’s ethos of inclusivity, individuality, and inspiration.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s busy programme of events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science up to A-level.
- Ability to deliver a second Science subject at GCSE level.
- Commitment to inclusive, individual, and inspirational teaching.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience in a co-educational environment.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in a boarding or day school setting.
- Knowledge of modern Science teaching methods and resources.
- Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular leadership.
- Passion for science and its wider applications beyond the classroom.
