The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher to join a successful department. This role offers the chance to inspire students across Years 7-13 and contribute to a strong science curriculum. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning that challenges students to achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Years 7-13, including A-level and GCSE.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote a love of science.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a second Science subject at GCSE level.
  • Support the school’s ethos of inclusivity, individuality, and inspiration.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s busy programme of events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science up to A-level.
  • Ability to deliver a second Science subject at GCSE level.
  • Commitment to inclusive, individual, and inspirational teaching.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Experience in a co-educational environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in a boarding or day school setting.
  • Knowledge of modern Science teaching methods and resources.
  • Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular leadership.
  • Passion for science and its wider applications beyond the classroom.
