The Opportunity:

A Geography Teacher - Full-Time or Part-Time is needed to join a dynamic team and inspire students in a thriving academic environment. The role offers the chance to work with academically able students and contribute to a strong, well-resourced Geography department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Plan and implement a varied and engaging curriculum that includes fieldwork and technology-enhanced learning.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results at GCSE and A Level.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices and share best practices.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings and training sessions.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and integrate new resources and teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven ability or clear potential to teach Geography to A Level.
  • Experience in teaching a broad and balanced Geography curriculum.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching physical geography.
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with fieldwork planning and delivery.
  • Experience working in a selective or high-achieving school environment.
