The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Languages Faculty, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student attainment, engagement, and progression in languages.
- Provide professional development and support to faculty members to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align the faculty’s vision with the school’s strategic goals.
- Promote a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement within the faculty.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
- Represent the faculty in meetings, conferences, and external events, promoting the school’s values and achievements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in languages, with the ability to teach French across all key stages.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of teachers and support staff.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3.
- A track record of successful curriculum development and implementation.
- Experience in leading a department through periods of growth and expansion.
- Familiarity with Catholic values and ethos in an educational context.
