The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, record and report on pupil progress, attainment and development in line with school policy.
  • Support the Head of Department in organising field trips and excursions for all key stages.
  • Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and respect.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, establishing routines that support learning and well-being.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with SEND, EAL and higher prior attainment.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and targeted support to raise achievement and attainment.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and schemes of work.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography.
  • Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Ability to assess and report on student progress effectively.
  • Commitment to the school's Christian ethos and values.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs and English as an additional language.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities.
  • Experience in form tutoring or pastoral care.
