Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured German lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Prepare students for AQA A Level German examinations
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with SEN and additional barriers
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress regularly
  • Set clear targets based on prior attainment
  • Create a safe, structured and engaging classroom environment
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and teaching resources
  • Build positive relationships with students and support their social, emotional and academic development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in German
  • Experience working with students with SEN and mental health needs
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to student success and high expectations

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA A Level German examinations
  • Experience in pastoral support and form tutor duties
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and ICT tools
  • Experience in enrichment and extra-curricular activities
