The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Spanish Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis, starting in September 2026. This maternity cover role is ideal for both experienced teachers and early career teachers, offering a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons to students across Years 7 to 11, ensuring academic progress and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the wider MFL and Communications teams to enhance the school’s language provision.
  • Model excellent teaching practice and maintain high standards of student achievement.
  • Support students in developing language skills and cultural awareness.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a curriculum that is both challenging and inclusive.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of providing a holistic education that prepares students for the future.
  • Engage in professional development and staff training opportunities.
  • Work flexibly, with the option of 2 or 3 days per week.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student progress and personal development.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Passion for language teaching and cultural enrichment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and values.
