The Opportunity:

As the Group Director of Commercial Enterprise, you will lead the development and execution of a strategic commercial plan to drive income generation, diversification, and enterprise across a high-performing educational group. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of the institution through innovative commercial initiatives and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a Group-wide commercial strategy aligned with the institution’s educational mission.
• Identify and deliver opportunities in international partnerships, estate utilisation, new educational ventures, and community engagement.
• Oversee commercial activity within the Group’s trading subsidiaries and maximise the value of its assets and brand.
• Ensure all commercial initiatives are financially robust, operationally viable, and aligned with long-term goals.
• Collaborate with the CFO and Professional Services Leadership Team to drive strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including external partners and internal teams.
• Monitor and report on the financial performance of commercial activities.
• Support the institution’s growth and diversification of income through innovative enterprise solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven track record of commercial success in complex organisations.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Experience in financial modelling and business planning.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple sites, stakeholders, and business domains.
• Leadership experience within a commercial or enterprise role.

Preferred

• Experience in commercial estate projects or community partnership development.
• Background in education or related sectors.
• Knowledge of international educational partnerships.
• Experience in developing and executing enterprise strategies.
