The Opportunity:
As the Group Director of Commercial Enterprise, you will lead the development and execution of a strategic commercial plan to drive income generation, diversification, and enterprise across a high-performing educational group. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of the institution through innovative commercial initiatives and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Group-wide commercial strategy aligned with the institution’s educational mission.
- Identify and deliver opportunities in international partnerships, estate utilisation, new educational ventures, and community engagement.
- Oversee commercial activity within the Group’s trading subsidiaries and maximise the value of its assets and brand.
- Ensure all commercial initiatives are financially robust, operationally viable, and aligned with long-term goals.
- Collaborate with the CFO and Professional Services Leadership Team to drive strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including external partners and internal teams.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of commercial activities.
- Support the institution’s growth and diversification of income through innovative enterprise solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven track record of commercial success in complex organisations.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Experience in financial modelling and business planning.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple sites, stakeholders, and business domains.
- Leadership experience within a commercial or enterprise role.
Preferred
- Experience in commercial estate projects or community partnership development.
- Background in education or related sectors.
- Knowledge of international educational partnerships.
- Experience in developing and executing enterprise strategies.
