The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Hair and Beauty Technician to join our team on a casual basis. This role will support the Hair and Beauty department by preparing equipment and resources to ensure effective teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain equipment and resources to support effective teaching and learning in the Hair and Beauty department.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure all lessons are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Assist in creating a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
  • Support the delivery of practical lessons and ensure all health and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in developing their skills in hair and beauty.
  • Ensure all materials are used efficiently and responsibly.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment and resources used.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in Hair and Beauty or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a teaching or training environment, ideally in a school or college setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently on a casual basis.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering practical lessons or workshops.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a school environment.
  • Experience with student welfare and pastoral support.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
