The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Science Teacher - Maternity Cover to join our successful team from April 2026. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of students across all key stages, helping them achieve their potential in Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Inspire and motivate students with a passion for Science and a commitment to inclusive teaching.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote outstanding progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the development of the Science department and curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure consistent progress and learning outcomes.
  • Participate in staff development and training to maintain and enhance teaching standards.
  • Support the school's mission to foster a sense of community and belonging among students.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that upholds the school’s values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
  • Experience teaching Science across all key stages (KS3, KS4, and KS5).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate Science effectively to all ability levels.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on personal and social development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
