The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Science Teacher - Maternity Cover to join our successful team from April 2026. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of students across all key stages, helping them achieve their potential in Science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Inspire and motivate students with a passion for Science and a commitment to inclusive teaching.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote outstanding progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the development of the Science department and curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure consistent progress and learning outcomes.
- Participate in staff development and training to maintain and enhance teaching standards.
- Support the school's mission to foster a sense of community and belonging among students.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that upholds the school’s values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
- Experience teaching Science across all key stages (KS3, KS4, and KS5).
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate Science effectively to all ability levels.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on personal and social development.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
