Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Business and Computing curriculum to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Foster collaboration among staff to improve student outcomes and raise standards.
• Support the professional development of teaching staff within the department.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement in achievement.
• Work closely with the leadership team to align departmental goals with the school’s strategic vision.
• Promote a culture of high achievement, positive behaviour, and strong pastoral care.
• Ensure the delivery of a curriculum that reflects the values of the Co-op Group.
• Engage with students through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in leading a department within a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Business and Computing curriculum and teaching methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to the values of the Co-op Group.
• Experience in driving student achievement and improving outcomes.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
• Background in pastoral care or student support.
• Familiarity with the Co-op Academies Trust and its values.
• Experience with safeguarding and PSHE education.
