The Opportunity:

As an ICT Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT services and support that enable seamless teaching, learning, and school operations. This role is essential to maintaining a secure, efficient, and up-to-date digital environment that supports the school’s educational priorities and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of IT services, including operational support and project management.
  • Ensure network security and connectivity to meet the needs of the curriculum and school priorities.
  • Mentor and support less experienced colleagues, including IT apprentices.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals across the Trust to develop and implement IT projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and students, ensuring systems run smoothly.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of IT infrastructure and services.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT-related initiatives and training programs.
  • Maintain and update IT systems to ensure they meet current standards and requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong technical background and relevant qualifications or significant professional experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in IT support and network management.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or a similar sector.
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning technologies.
  • Experience with mentoring or training others.
  • Familiarity with IT projects and collaboration across multi-site organizations.
