Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the academic and pastoral development of students within your key stage.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Foster a culture of high achievement, behaviour management, and positive relationships.
  • Promote the school's values and vision through effective leadership and role modelling.
  • Develop and maintain strong, sustainable routines that support student independence and resilience.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with school-wide goals and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and support student welfare and academic progress.
  • Commitment to the school's values, including respect, trust, and commitment.
  • Experience in pastoral leadership and behaviour management.

Preferred

  • Experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Familiarity with the Co-op Group values and ethos.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and across different departments.
