Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of teachers to deliver consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
- Design and implement a well-sequenced, ambitious curriculum aligned with school values and goals.
- Use data to inform planning, intervention, and continuous improvement across the subject area.
- Manage resources, budgets, and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation within the department and across the school.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external partners to enhance the impact of Business education.
- Support the development of colleagues through coaching and leadership.
- Ensure all pupils achieve strong outcomes and are equipped for future study and employment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a teaching or educational leadership role.
- Strong subject knowledge in Business Education.
- Experience in curriculum design and assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staff coaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team of teachers.
- Background in school improvement or strategic planning.
- Familiarity with data-driven teaching and learning practices.
- Experience in extra-curricular programme development.
