Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of teachers to deliver consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Design and implement a well-sequenced, ambitious curriculum aligned with school values and goals.
  • Use data to inform planning, intervention, and continuous improvement across the subject area.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation within the department and across the school.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external partners to enhance the impact of Business education.
  • Support the development of colleagues through coaching and leadership.
  • Ensure all pupils achieve strong outcomes and are equipped for future study and employment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a teaching or educational leadership role.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business Education.
  • Experience in curriculum design and assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staff coaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team of teachers.
