We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Head of Business Studies & Economics to lead a growing department and shape the future of Business and Economics at the school. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on student learning and development, both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the academic curricula for Business Studies and Economics at GCSE and A Level.
  • Develop and deliver innovative, challenging, and diverse co-curricular activities and competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance interdisciplinary learning and student engagement.
  • Share teaching responsibilities across different year groups and levels, including GCSE and A Level.
  • Ensure the department continues to grow and expand in line with the school's vision and strategic goals.
  • Support and mentor junior staff within the department.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Business Studies and Economics fields to ensure curricula remain relevant and inspiring.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Business Studies and Economics at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong leadership and management experience within a school department.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to co-curricular engagement and student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a growing department or curriculum area.
  • Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with co-curricular activities, competitions, or extracurricular programs.
  • Background in a co-educational environment.
