We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Head of Business Studies & Economics to lead a growing department and shape the future of Business and Economics at the school. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the academic curricula for Business Studies and Economics at GCSE and A Level.
- Develop and deliver innovative, challenging, and diverse co-curricular activities and competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance interdisciplinary learning and student engagement.
- Share teaching responsibilities across different year groups and levels, including GCSE and A Level.
- Ensure the department continues to grow and expand in line with the school's vision and strategic goals.
- Support and mentor junior staff within the department.
- Stay up to date with developments in the Business Studies and Economics fields to ensure curricula remain relevant and inspiring.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Business Studies and Economics at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong leadership and management experience within a school department.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Commitment to co-curricular engagement and student development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a growing department or curriculum area.
- Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with co-curricular activities, competitions, or extracurricular programs.
- Background in a co-educational environment.
