Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the Computer Science department across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and challenge students
- Ensure the strategic direction and development of the subject, including staff leadership and pupil progress
- Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion within the department and school
- Support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices through collaboration and innovation
- Manage resources and staff effectively to ensure the efficient delivery of the curriculum
- Encourage and support students to achieve the best possible outcomes in Computer Science
- Contribute to the overall vision and values of the school
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with extensive experience in Computer Science
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across the 11-19 age range
- Proven leadership and management experience in a school department
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation
- Experience with teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 5
- Experience in leading and mentoring other teachers
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices
- Experience in using digital technologies in the classroom
