Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Computer Science department across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and challenge students
  • Ensure the strategic direction and development of the subject, including staff leadership and pupil progress
  • Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion within the department and school
  • Support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices through collaboration and innovation
  • Manage resources and staff effectively to ensure the efficient delivery of the curriculum
  • Encourage and support students to achieve the best possible outcomes in Computer Science
  • Contribute to the overall vision and values of the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with extensive experience in Computer Science
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across the 11-19 age range
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a school department
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation
  • Experience with teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 5
  • Experience in leading and mentoring other teachers
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices
  • Experience in using digital technologies in the classroom
