We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Humanities Faculty and Geography Teacher to lead and inspire. This role offers the chance to shape the future of a successful department while making a lasting impact on students' academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Humanities Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to GCSE and A level students.
- Develop and implement a vision for the department’s continued growth and success.
- Support the academic, spiritual, and moral development of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral and extra-curricular activities.
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography and Humanities.
- Proven leadership experience in a school setting, preferably as a Head of Faculty.
- Strong track record of academic achievement and student success.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and Gospel values of the school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading departmental development and curriculum innovation.
- Experience with teaching to GCSE and A level qualifications.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
