Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Humanities Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to GCSE and A level students.
  • Develop and implement a vision for the department’s continued growth and success.
  • Support the academic, spiritual, and moral development of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral and extra-curricular activities.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography and Humanities.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school setting, preferably as a Head of Faculty.
  • Strong track record of academic achievement and student success.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and Gospel values of the school.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading departmental development and curriculum innovation.
  • Experience with teaching to GCSE and A level qualifications.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
