Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Mathematics department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a robust curriculum that reflects the school’s values and mission.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement in attainment.
- Support and mentor Mathematics teachers to enhance professional development and performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Ensure the effective use of resources and schemes of work to support teaching and learning.
- Represent the department in school-wide meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a track record of improving student outcomes.
- Experience in curriculum development and departmental management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values of integrity, diligence, and civility.
Preferred
