Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mathematics department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a robust curriculum that reflects the school’s values and mission.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement in attainment.
  • Support and mentor Mathematics teachers to enhance professional development and performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and schemes of work to support teaching and learning.
  • Represent the department in school-wide meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Experience in curriculum development and departmental management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of integrity, diligence, and civility.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a focus on inclusion and diversity.
