Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons to students of varying abilities, using innovative and engaging teaching methods.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in maths and related subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas and best practices within a supportive and collegiate department.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help students succeed.
- Contribute to the academic, pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.
- Support students in preparing for public exams and university applications, particularly in maths, science, engineering and economics.
- Stay up to date with developments in maths education and incorporate new teaching strategies into your practice.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
- A genuine passion for maths and a commitment to inspiring students.
- Experience in teaching maths at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative department.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching high-achieving students.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and the use of technology in the classroom.
- Experience in preparing students for university and Oxbridge applications.
- Experience in a school with a strong academic and pastoral focus.
