Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the music department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Inspire and motivate students through engaging and innovative music programs.
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of music curriculum across all year groups.
- Manage and support a team of music teachers and support staff.
- Promote music participation and performance opportunities for students.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate music into the broader school curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement in music.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality music teaching and learning.
- Experience in developing and leading a music department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Catholic values and school ethos.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Experience with performing arts and extracurricular music activities.
- Knowledge of music technology and digital resources.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
