Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the music department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Inspire and motivate students through engaging and innovative music programs.
• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of music curriculum across all year groups.
• Manage and support a team of music teachers and support staff.
• Promote music participation and performance opportunities for students.
• Work closely with other departments to integrate music into the broader school curriculum.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement in music.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality music teaching and learning.
• Experience in developing and leading a music department.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to Catholic values and school ethos.

Preferred

• Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
• Experience with performing arts and extracurricular music activities.
• Knowledge of music technology and digital resources.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
