Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Develop and implement a stimulating and ambitious science curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure strong academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and initiatives.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and science-related events.
- Stay up to date with developments in science education and pedagogy.
- Support the school’s Catholic mission and values in all aspects of teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching science at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge in science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusion.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with teaching in a Catholic school or similar environment.
- Familiarity with science-based extracurricular activities.
- Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.
