The Opportunity:

A Network Manager is sought to lead the IT services across a multi-academy trust. This role involves overseeing the management, installation, maintenance, and security of IT networks and systems. The successful candidate will have a significant impact on the technological infrastructure that supports learning and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the school network, hardware, and software systems.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of IT infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Ensure the security and integrity of data and systems in line with best practices.
• Lead and develop a team of technicians, including an Assistant Network Manager.
• Implement and manage IT strategies and projects in line with the school’s goals.
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff and students.
• Monitor and report on IT performance, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in managing IT networks in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, hardware, and software systems.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Experience in budgeting and resource planning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Preferred

• Experience with large-scale IT systems and multi-site environments.
• Familiarity with educational software and learning platforms.
• Experience in change management and implementation of new IT systems.
• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain it.
