The Opportunity:
A Reception Class Teacher is needed to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. This role is ideal for passionate educators who are committed to early years education and thrive in a supportive, creative, and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a vibrant, enabling classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence
- Incorporate play-based learning effectively to support children’s development across all areas
- Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress, ensuring all children are appropriately supported and challenged
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including leading an after-school club
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and the right to work in the UK
- Have a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and pedagogy
- Be passionate about early childhood development and education
- Demonstrate creativity, energy and enthusiasm in the classroom
- Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
- Be a reflective practitioner with a willingness to develop professionally
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience working with Early Career Teachers
- Experience in outdoor learning environments
