The Opportunity:

A Reception Class Teacher is needed to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. This role is ideal for passionate educators who are committed to early years education and thrive in a supportive, creative, and progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a vibrant, enabling classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence
  • Incorporate play-based learning effectively to support children’s development across all areas
  • Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress, ensuring all children are appropriately supported and challenged
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including leading an after-school club

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and the right to work in the UK
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and pedagogy
  • Be passionate about early childhood development and education
  • Demonstrate creativity, energy and enthusiasm in the classroom
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Be a reflective practitioner with a willingness to develop professionally

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience working with Early Career Teachers
  • Experience in outdoor learning environments
