Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Maths curriculum to ensure it meets the highest standards of pedagogy and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Maths department to implement effective teaching strategies and quality assurance processes.
  • Support and mentor staff through professional development and ongoing training.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistent academic achievement.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and curriculum innovation across the school.
  • Ensure a proactive response to emerging needs and priorities within the Maths department.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Work closely with colleagues to align departmental goals with the school's overall vision and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, preferably in Maths.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and pedagogical best practices.
  • Experience in leading and managing a department with a focus on student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to drive improvement and implement strategic initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience in school improvement or transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision making and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum innovation and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Background in supporting staff development and school-wide training programs.
