Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Maths curriculum to ensure it meets the highest standards of pedagogy and student outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Maths department to implement effective teaching strategies and quality assurance processes.
- Support and mentor staff through professional development and ongoing training.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistent academic achievement.
- Contribute to strategic planning and curriculum innovation across the school.
- Ensure a proactive response to emerging needs and priorities within the Maths department.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Work closely with colleagues to align departmental goals with the school's overall vision and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, preferably in Maths.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and pedagogical best practices.
- Experience in leading and managing a department with a focus on student achievement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to drive improvement and implement strategic initiatives.
Preferred
- Experience in school improvement or transformation projects.
- Familiarity with data-driven decision making and assessment strategies.
- Experience with curriculum innovation and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Background in supporting staff development and school-wide training programs.
