Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching and learning of students with autism across key stages, including KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Deliver individualised and curriculum-based programmes in line with students’ EHCPs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive provision and interventions.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations and inclusion.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through tailored support and guidance.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience working with students with autism or additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all students.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
  • Experience in delivering individualised learning programmes.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Familiarity with National Curriculum subjects and Study Programmes for Post-16 students.
  • Experience with EHCPs and individualised learning plans.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on pastoral care.
