As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning by delivering lessons and providing one-to-one or small group assistance.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of resources and materials for lessons.
- Work closely with teachers to ensure the needs of all students are met.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing feedback to teachers where necessary.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with pastoral care and support for students, including those with additional needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
- Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role within a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience with using educational technology in the classroom.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary based on NJC Grade 5.
- 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
