Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning by delivering lessons and providing one-to-one or small group assistance.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of resources and materials for lessons.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure the needs of all students are met.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing feedback to teachers where necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with pastoral care and support for students, including those with additional needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with using educational technology in the classroom.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on NJC Grade 5.
  • 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
