The Opportunity:

A History Teacher is needed to join a vibrant and growing Secondary Humanities team. This role offers the chance to inspire future generations of critical thinkers and leaders within a supportive and international learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England.
  • Develop engaging and stimulating learning experiences for students across all key stages.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school’s mission to create a global community of learners and leaders.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in History and QTS or equivalent.
  • Or an internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in History or closely related subject and an internationally recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in History with any subject specialism and QTS or equivalent.
  • Or an internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with an internationally recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in History with QTS or equivalent and one year of experience teaching History.
  • Valid references and police clearance certificate no more than 3 months old.

Preferred

  • Experience with the UK National Curriculum and international education systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience in using innovative teaching technologies.
  • Fluency in Arabic or other languages spoken in the UAE.
