Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic results, including preparing Oxbridge applicants.
- Contribute to the development of the department’s co-curricular provision.
- Promote a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and progressive curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
- Maintain accurate records and report student performance effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong academic background in History.
- Experience teaching History at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- Commitment to student achievement and high standards of teaching.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging lessons.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in preparing students for Oxbridge applications.
- Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
- Experience with co-curricular activities and extra-curricular provision.
- Familiarity with progressive teaching methods and curriculum design.
