The Opportunity:
As a KS1 Class Teacher, you will shape the early learning experiences of young children, guiding them through their first steps in education with creativity, care, and a strong focus on personal development. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum, tailored to individual learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning
- Support pupils with varying learning requirements and ensure all students reach their full potential
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, senior leadership, and parents to create a cohesive and supportive learning experience
- Plan and deliver creative and interactive lessons that align with the school’s broad and enriching curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and adjusting teaching strategies as needed
- Participate in professional development, INSET training, and school-wide initiatives
- Encourage and lead extra-curricular activities that enhance students’ personal and academic growth
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience in all aspects of teaching and classroom management
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Passion for supporting pupils with diverse learning needs
Preferred
- Experience teaching in KS1
- Experience in teaching phonics
- Excellent parent communication and engagement skills
