The Opportunity:

We are seeking a HLTA to cover Maternity Leave at a school in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and inspiring team and make a meaningful contribution to student learning and school improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning in line with the school’s curriculum and standards.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to enhance pupil outcomes.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, including the use of appropriate resources and technology.
  • Provide individualised support to pupils where needed, including those with special educational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing assessment of pupil progress.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement school improvement strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or learning support role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Proficiency in spoken English to provide accurate advice and support.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of school improvement and best practice in education.
  • Experience with the use of teaching and learning technologies.
  • Understanding of inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
