The Opportunity:

The HR and Operations Director will provide strategic leadership across people strategy and operational infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations, sustainable estates, and strong governance. This is a key role in driving organisational performance and delivering excellent educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic leadership across the Trust’s people strategy and operational functions
  • Ensure exemplary HR practice, efficient operations, and sustainable estates
  • Provide governance and compliance/ legal oversight across the Trust
  • Drive high organisational performance across all people and operational functions
  • Perform the functions of the Trust Data Protection Officer
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Headteachers, and Directors to support the Trust’s mission
  • Support the continuous improvement of school operations and staff development
  • Ensure alignment with the Trust’s strategic goals and educational outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in strategic leadership and HR management
  • Strong understanding of operational infrastructure and governance
  • Experience in compliance and legal oversight
  • Ability to manage and lead across multiple school sites
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in education or a related sector
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations
  • Experience with school systems and practices
  • Background in managing large-scale organisational change
  • Experience in developing and implementing professional development programmes
