The Opportunity:
As an HR Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s HR operations, including recruitment, employee records, and training. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive workplace culture while gaining valuable professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Manage employee records and maintain the Single Central Record
- Ensure compliance with safer recruitment and statutory requirements
- Coordinate inductions, training, and appraisal tracking
- Provide HR guidance and support to staff and leaders
- Monitor absence and maintain accurate records
- Contribute to the improvement of HR systems and processes
- Work closely with senior leaders, governors, and external agencies
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience handling confidential information
- Commitment to learning and professional development
Preferred
- Previous HR experience and/or experience in an education setting
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards it
