The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated HR Officer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the smooth operation of HR processes across the school. This role offers the chance to grow within a professional and supportive environment while making a real impact on the school's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including candidate selection and onboarding.
  • Oversee pre-employment checks and ensure compliance with all legal and HR requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including contracts and employee data.
  • Support payroll preparation and ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Manage absence management and ensure effective communication with staff and management.
  • Coordinate HR initiatives and contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of HR and other senior members of the team.
  • Ensure a high standard of service and maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in HR administration, recruitment, or a regulated environment.
  • Willingness to obtain a CIPD Level 3 qualification.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in HR or a related field.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and HR systems.
  • Experience with child protection screening and safeguarding procedures.
  • Understanding of education sector HR practices.
