The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated HR Officer to join our team and support the ongoing development of our Human Resources function. This role is essential in maintaining a high standard of service and ensuring that all HR processes align with the school's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate HR administrative functions, including payroll and employee records.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures across the school.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including advertising roles, shortlisting candidates, and arranging interviews.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on HR-related matters, such as contracts, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in HR practices.
  • Collaborate with senior HR leads to develop and maintain a positive workplace culture.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.
  • Support the delivery of training and development programs for staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a HR role, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, including recruitment, employee relations, and payroll.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with HR software and systems.
  • Knowledge of education sector-specific HR practices.
  • Experience in handling sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with Keeping Children Safe in Education and safeguarding policies.
