The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated HR Officer to join our team and support the ongoing development of our Human Resources function. This role is essential in maintaining a high standard of service and ensuring that all HR processes align with the school's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate HR administrative functions, including payroll and employee records.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures across the school.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including advertising roles, shortlisting candidates, and arranging interviews.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on HR-related matters, such as contracts, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in HR practices.
- Collaborate with senior HR leads to develop and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.
- Support the delivery of training and development programs for staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a HR role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, including recruitment, employee relations, and payroll.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with HR software and systems.
- Knowledge of education sector-specific HR practices.
- Experience in handling sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Familiarity with Keeping Children Safe in Education and safeguarding policies.
