Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and enrichment programs that enhance the student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science, preferably with a specialism in Biology.
  • Proven experience of teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Science curriculum in line with national standards.
  • Experience with CPD and leadership within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
  • Experience working in a Catholic or values-based educational environment.
