Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and enrichment programs that enhance the student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science, preferably with a specialism in Biology.
- Proven experience of teaching Science at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Science curriculum in line with national standards.
- Experience with CPD and leadership within a school setting.
- Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
- Experience working in a Catholic or values-based educational environment.
