The Opportunity:
A Humanities Teacher - Citizenship and Geography is needed to join a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Citizenship and Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students with a range of learning needs and abilities through differentiated teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum across the humanities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Stay up to date with curriculum changes and educational best practices.
- Promote a love of learning and encourage student confidence and independence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in the humanities field.
- Confidence in teaching a broad range of abilities and learning needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Citizenship and/or Geography at GCSE or A-Level.
- Experience with another humanities subject at GCSE or A-Level.
- ECT1/2 qualification or experience.
- Familiarity with SpLD and ASD teaching strategies.
