As a Pre-Prep Teacher Reception to Year 2, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds through engaging and inspiring lessons. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the curriculum for Reception, Year 1, or Year 2.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Take responsibility for a form class and support the academic and personal development of your students.
  • Contribute to the running of an afterschool co-curricular club and attend open days.
  • Support the school’s pastoral and academic life, including professional development and staff collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • May have the opportunity to take on the role of Pre-Prep Literacy Lead with additional responsibilities and an annual allowance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Key Stage 1 (KS1).
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage young learners.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities and school events.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or supporting literacy initiatives.
  • Background in teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL).
  • Familiarity with independent or grammar school environments.
  • Experience in delivering professional development or mentoring colleagues.
