Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that align with the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum and local requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality, curriculum-focused lessons.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and school community members.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress using school systems and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Support students through individualized learning and intervention strategies based on data and assessments.
  • Participate in school events, extra-curricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the school's values and teaching philosophy are consistently embedded in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject and B.Ed. or PGCE qualification.
  • Experience teaching at the AP/IB or A-Levels standard.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and promote positive behavior.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities and community engagement.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in professional development and teaching innovation.
