The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to teach History, Geography, or Religion & Philosophy to Key Stages 3-5, and to contribute to a vibrant and supportive learning community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History, Geography, or Religion & Philosophy to Key Stages 3-5 with a commitment to student success.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive curriculum.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
- Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure effective teaching in second or third subjects.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching History, Geography, or Religion & Philosophy.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably in a secondary school.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching multiple subjects within the humanities.
- Familiarity with PSHE and related topics.
- Experience with supporting early career teachers or working in a collaborative team environment.
