The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to teach across a range of subjects, including RE, PSHCE, Geography, and History. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an innovative and engaging curriculum that supports student success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across key stages 3 and 4 in Humanities subjects.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative and knowledge-rich curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in Geography, History, and the Beliefs & Life Curriculum team.
- Provide effective feedback to students to support their learning and progress.
- Support the delivery of the Beliefs & Life Curriculum, covering Religious Studies and PSHCE.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental planning and resource development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that values respect, kindness, and responsibility.
- Uphold and model the school's core values in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Humanities subjects.
- Ability to teach across a range of Humanities subjects, including RE, PSHCE, Geography, and History.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that support student achievement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a school environment that values inclusion and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
- Familiarity with the Beliefs & Life Curriculum.
- Experience in teaching at key stage 3 and 4.
- Demonstrated ability to support student well-being and foster a positive classroom environment.
- Experience with teaching Religious Education and PSHCE.
