The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to teach across a range of subjects, including RE, PSHCE, Geography, and History. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an innovative and engaging curriculum that supports student success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across key stages 3 and 4 in Humanities subjects.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative and knowledge-rich curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in Geography, History, and the Beliefs & Life Curriculum team.
  • Provide effective feedback to students to support their learning and progress.
  • Support the delivery of the Beliefs & Life Curriculum, covering Religious Studies and PSHCE.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental planning and resource development.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that values respect, kindness, and responsibility.
  • Uphold and model the school's core values in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Humanities subjects.
  • Ability to teach across a range of Humanities subjects, including RE, PSHCE, Geography, and History.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that support student achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a school environment that values inclusion and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Familiarity with the Beliefs & Life Curriculum.
  • Experience in teaching at key stage 3 and 4.
  • Demonstrated ability to support student well-being and foster a positive classroom environment.
  • Experience with teaching Religious Education and PSHCE.
