The Opportunity:
As an Inclusion Teacher, you will support students with additional learning needs and help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work as part of a dynamic and collaborative Inclusion Team, making a meaningful impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs through individual and small-group interventions
- Support pupils to access the curriculum, adapting learning where necessary to ensure meaningful participation and progress
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and support staff to develop inclusive classroom strategies and effective differentiation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual learning plans and targeted interventions
- Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and support strategies
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development, helping them to develop confidence and independence
- Work collaboratively with the Inclusion Team to ensure effective provision across the school
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and external professionals regarding pupil progress and support strategies
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within a Primary or Secondary setting
- Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs
- A strong commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, parents and colleagues
- A thorough knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- A commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- An innovative, creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
- A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school community
Preferred
- Experience working within the UAE or an international school setting
- Additional qualifications such as CCET, AAC or SEND-related certifications
- Experience supporting pupils with speech and language needs, autism, dyslexia or other learning differences
