The Opportunity:
As an Inclusion Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting students at risk of disengagement through targeted interventions, managing the Return to Learn Room, and working closely with families and external agencies. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in student behavior and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to support students at risk of disengagement.
- Manage the Return to Learn Room and Reset Area to provide a safe and supportive environment for students.
- Collaborate with families, external agencies, and school staff to ensure holistic support for students.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Work closely with pastoral teams to promote positive behavior and student well-being.
- Support the school’s inclusion strategy through proactive engagement and partnership working.
- Provide regular updates and reports on student progress and intervention outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of policies and practices that promote inclusion and student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a pastoral or inclusion-related role within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and external agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a team environment.
- Experience in delivering targeted interventions to support student behavior and academic progress.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in working with students with additional needs or those at risk of disengagement.
- Knowledge of inclusive education strategies and best practices.
- Experience with behavior management techniques and student support programs.
- Familiarity with educational frameworks and policies related to inclusion and pastoral care.
