The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Inclusion Teacher to join our team and support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the school. This role will involve developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), delivering targeted interventions, and working closely with class teachers and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the school
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans
- Deliver outstanding, motivating, and challenging interventions for students with a range of additional needs
- Ensure personalised, purposeful SEND provision in line with EYFS, the National Curriculum, and KHDA expectations
- Collaborate with class teachers to plan, adapt, and enhance provision for students with additional needs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and analyse data to inform planning and provision
- Liaise effectively with parents, therapists, and external specialists to support student outcomes
- Lead professional development opportunities to build staff capacity in inclusive practice
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Hold a relevant Bachelor's Degree
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education practices
- Demonstrate understanding of a range of evidence-based interventions
- Recognise and support early identification of a wide range of learning needs
- Apply knowledge of early literacy and mathematics skill development to targeted interventions
- Deliver Read Write Inc interventions effectively to small groups of students
- Apply effective behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in professional development or leadership roles
- Familiarity with assistive technologies to enhance student access to learning
