The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support students with additional learning needs and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring all students have equitable access to education and thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist SEN Teacher in providing targeted in-class and small group support to students with learning, behavioural, or emotional needs.
  • Implement intervention strategies outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers.
  • Support students in developing academic skills and learning behaviours such as focus, organisation, and independence.
  • Monitor and report student progress and engagement during interventions, providing timely feedback to teachers and the Inclusion team.
  • Support early identification of learning or developmental concerns through observation of student behaviour and engagement.
  • Promote positive behaviour strategies and inclusive practices to support students’ social and emotional needs.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for students requiring additional support between lessons, year groups, or key stages.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that respects individual differences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an inclusion or SEN role, preferably in a Cambridge curriculum or international school setting.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with Inclusion policies and Indian educational regulations.
