Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with demonstrations and practical science lessons
- Develop and maintain laboratory systems and equipment
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance of laboratory facilities
- Manage chemical and equipment stores safely and efficiently
- Prepare and organise lesson materials and resources
- Support the setup and use of ICT and data-logging equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Help organise displays and events related to science education
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety in a laboratory setting
- Ability to work effectively in a busy and dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills with staff and students
- Experience in a science or education setting
Preferred
- Science A-levels or equivalent qualifications
- Experience with laboratory equipment and chemical management
- Understanding of modern teaching methods and technology
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
