The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate ITT Coordinator with Teaching responsibilities in Science and IT & Business. This role offers the opportunity to lead and coordinate high-quality teacher training and induction, while also contributing to the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning in your specialist subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead the school’s Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme, ensuring high-quality training and support.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Science and IT & Business, contributing to student progress and achievement.
  • Mentor and coach trainee and early career teachers, supporting their development into confident and reflective practitioners.
  • Manage documentation, coordinate training programmes, and meet statutory deadlines efficiently.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders.
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and improved outcomes for all students.
  • Contribute to the school’s professional learning culture and leadership development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science and IT & Business.
  • Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting trainee and early career teachers.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate complex training programmes.
  • Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in Initial Teacher Training or Early Career Teacher Induction.
  • Experience with National College training or leadership development programmes.
  • Familiarity with EDI initiatives and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Science and IT & Business.
