The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate ITT Coordinator with Teaching responsibilities in Science and IT & Business. This role offers the opportunity to lead and coordinate high-quality teacher training and induction, while also contributing to the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning in your specialist subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead the school’s Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme, ensuring high-quality training and support.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Science and IT & Business, contributing to student progress and achievement.
- Mentor and coach trainee and early career teachers, supporting their development into confident and reflective practitioners.
- Manage documentation, coordinate training programmes, and meet statutory deadlines efficiently.
- Build strong, positive relationships with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and improved outcomes for all students.
- Contribute to the school’s professional learning culture and leadership development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science and IT & Business.
- Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting trainee and early career teachers.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate complex training programmes.
- Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in Initial Teacher Training or Early Career Teacher Induction.
- Experience with National College training or leadership development programmes.
- Familiarity with EDI initiatives and inclusive teaching practices.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Science and IT & Business.
