The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Science and IT & Business Teacher with ECT Induction Lead responsibilities. This role combines high-quality teaching with the opportunity to lead and support Early Career Teachers, making a meaningful impact on both students and new educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the school's Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme, ensuring high-quality training and professional development.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Science, IT, and Business, contributing to student progress and learning outcomes.
  • Mentor and coach trainee and Early Career Teachers, providing guidance and support to help them develop into confident, reflective practitioners.
  • Coordinate training programmes, manage documentation, and meet statutory deadlines effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders to ensure successful induction and training outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s professional learning culture by sharing expertise and promoting continuous development.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and improving outcomes for all students.
  • Engage in reflective practice and take an active role in personal and professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science, IT, and Business.
  • Strong classroom practice and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support trainee and Early Career Teachers.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage training documentation and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and student progress.

Preferred

  • Experience in Initial Teacher Training or ECT induction.
  • Leadership or coaching experience.
  • Experience with National College training or subject-specific CPD.
  • Experience in developing professional learning cultures.
  • Experience with equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
