The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1/KS2 Class Teacher for a fixed term of one year. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone starting their teaching career or looking to gain experience within primary education. As a class teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting the development of young learners in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 with an emphasis on cross-curricular learning
  • Plan engaging lessons that cover multiple subjects through cross-curricular approaches
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and students to support student progress
  • Support the development of students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to implement school-wide initiatives and policies
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
  • Ensure that all teaching activities align with the National Curriculum and school values

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • No previous teaching experience required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
  • Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Basic understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1

  • Experience with cross-curricular teaching approaches
  • Experience working in a school with a Christian ethos

  • Experience with early career teacher development programmes
